In March, polls were taken in Portland, Seattle, Denver and Los Angeles respectively. We recently incorporated a new question in the survey, requesting a projection of S&P 500 annualized total returns over the next 10 years. The responses have been quite interesting.

In October, a poll was taken at the Milwaukee Analyst Society (73 participants) when the DJIA was at 3152 (Oct. 7). In addition, this “X-rays” section also includes the results of a poll taken by Jim Fraser at his annual Contrary Opinion Forum in Vermont in early October.
Polling the Pros: The Boston Bruins
In June, polls were taken among our Boston clients. The results were about the most bearish we have seen since these polls were initiated back in early 1991.
All Our Systems Are Still “Go”
After a 300-point move in the DJIA in a little over two months, a number of observers view the market as “overbought”. However, we see no significant evidence among our indicators that supports this opinion.
