Data presented includes: Price/Earnings Ratios, Price/Sales, Estimated Long Term Growth, and Relative Strength rankings. Individual stock performance is shown for the current month and year-to-date.
Performance stated for Leuthold industry groups is calculated using a proprietary weighting system that is more in line with how we believe a manager might weight companies within a portfolio. This is different from S&P, which uses a straight market capitalization-weighted index for the construction of its groups. We believe our approach is superior, as it removes the hindrance of group performance being dominated by the largest component stocks.

At times, we found ourselves in disagreement with the S&P/MSCI “standardized” group delineation, but this structure was maintained, with minimal modifications. We have, however, added additional component stocks to all groups and adopted our proprietary approach to component weightings.
